RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOAL SETTING AND PERFORMANCE OF CITY PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN KENYA

In recent years, performance in Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations particularly by pub lic primary schools has been on a steady decline. Studies have revealed that school leaders , especially head teachers key role to play setting high expectations monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness learning outcomes which ultimately translates improved . T his study therefore sought examine relationship between goal practice city public Kenya. The was based theory adopted concurrent embedded mixed method design. Questionnaires interviews were utilized collect data whereas secondary collected through document analysis.
